Some weeks just remind you of what really matters, and this was one of them.
Last weekend, I had the joy of heading down to Texas to celebrate family. My newest niece, Molly, was baptized, and my nephew, Bane, turned four in the merriest way possible—with a Santa-themed birthday party. Yes, in March. And yes, Santa himself made an appearance! Watching the kids’ faces light up with pure wonder and excitement was a reminder of something so simple yet powerful: we should all embrace a little more curiosity and joy in our lives.
Kids don’t question magic—they just believe in it. They don’t hesitate to ask “why” or “how” about everything they see. Somewhere along the way, as adults, we stop doing that. But what if we didn’t? What if we approached each day with that same wide-eyed excitement and curiosity?
That sense of curiosity and connection isn’t just for kids—it’s something I’ve been experiencing firsthand in my own community.
Last week, I hosted the second Arvada Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) meet-up, and it’s incredible to see what started as a simple post in a Facebook group turn into something truly meaningful. Since November, this community of women business owners has grown into a directory of 85 local women-owned businesses and counting. Our latest gathering at Silver Vines Winery brought together an amazing group of women to talk business, collaboration, and even dive into how AI can support small businesses.
It’s moments like these—whether celebrating family milestones or building a community of inspiring entrepreneurs—that remind me to look for the magic in everyday moments.
And today, Chris and I are carrying that energy into the weekend as we head to Olde Town Arvada to celebrate community and St. Patrick’s Day. I’ll be capturing the festivities, so stay tuned for some snapshots of how this amazing town comes together!
Whatever you have planned this weekend, I hope you find a moment to soak in the magic of the everyday. Whether it’s a conversation with a friend, a spontaneous adventure, or simply a quiet moment with a cup of coffee, take a second to see it through fresh eyes.
Because joy isn’t just in the big milestones—it’s in the little moments, too.
Cheers to a great weekend! ☘️
